The Mosaic on my front page is called "The Mosaic of Hope"
Since its launch, more than 220 groups of Canadian grandmothers have taken up the call to action and the campaign has raised over $7 million. SLF directs these funds to community-level organizations in 15 sub-Saharan African countries that provide grandmothers with much needed support, such as food, housing grants, school fees for their AIDS orphaned grandchildren and grief counseling.
I donated the Mosaic of Hope to The Eastside Grannies of Sherwood Park as a fund raiser. Anyone interested in purchasing this piece may contact Jean Bodie at 780 410 1531

Questions/Comments:
Hi, and thanks for stopping by my site.
My name is Carolan Fuhr, and I am an Edmonton based artist who has been making and teaching stained glass and mosaic art here in Edmonton for over 13 years.
I have always been drawn to light and the way it can transform even the simplest object or person into the most beautiful thing.
My love of glass work and mosaics comes from the relaxation I find in piecing together and designing my art. A busy mom of two and full time dayhome operator for 12 years, I find the stillness in just sitting and finding the way I can make something fit, is a great form of meditation for me.
I have had the good fortune to travel a lot in my lifetime and am always inspired by the different works of art, scenery and things I have seen.
Mosaic is an art form dating back more than 5000 years when the Greeks and Egyptians used it to decorate their homes and gardens, temples and other sacred dwellings.
I hope my interpretation of this art form brings you some pleasure when you view it or decide to add one of my pieces to your home or to give as a gift..
Please feel free to leave your comments and to contact me regarding any work, or orders.
Namaste'
Carolan
I am pleased to announce the addition of my two new designers - Kitty Kat and Alley Kat to the site.
